Why he stands behind it.
Austin met the people behind Project Nehemiah through church. Once he understood the mission and the people they were helping, he knew it was something he wanted to stand behind.
Project Nehemiah is a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit centered around long-term transformation. It isn’t about helping someone for a moment and moving on — it’s about staying with people through the process and helping change the trajectory of their lives.
Austin wants his community work to actually touch lives. Faith is the foundation of how he wants to live, lead, build and serve.
